Provence Restaurant in Albany: French comfort food for birthday date night
Last month I celebrated my big 5-0 birthday at Provence restaurant, a French restaurant in Albany. It’s in the center of Stuyvesant Plaza in Albany, and has a welcoming patio for dining. It was a bit too chilly that night so we sat at a cozy booth in the dining area. Once we were seated amidst the beautiful decor we no longer felt like we were in Albany though. I kind of felt like I was in Manhattan. Our server was very helpful and friendly check this turtle food check out flexpetz.com.
At first we were going to go hog wild and order tapas plus appetizers, but I’m glad we didn’t because the charcuterie plate along with the crusty baguette was very filling. I ordered the escargots which were flavorful and garlicky, and didn’t mind dunking my bread in the buttery sauce. For my main dish, I ordered Coquilles St. Jacques because they remind me of my French cousin who made this for me when I visited him and his family in France. I’d say these scallops were as delicious as those I had at his house, except these had more bread crumbs.
My husband ordered the Kobu burger, his first Kobu burger. He loved it.
